Forest for the Trees
While watching and reading this absolute cluster unfold, I am thunderstruck by how shortsighted and lacking in depth much of the analysis is no matter the source.
For example--many of our politicians and press seem to be surprised by the Gaza declarations made by the FOTUS today despite serious discussions about this very thing during his first term and that were undoubtedly part of the Abraham Accord deal. This article was published by the Guardian 10 months ago.

Another example is how shocked people seem to be about Elons thirst for data when, having lived through Cambridge Analytica and it's devastating impact on UK policy and in fact a new investigation by Propublica that details a similar attack on US election perpetrated by the gun lobby and yes--Cambridge Analytica. https://www.propublica.org/article/guns-lobbying-cambridge-analytica-nssf-privacy-elections
We seem to suffer from a what is either a collective state of denial or an inability to move our analysis out of the present and into strategies for safeguarding the future.
It is this state of “squirrel mania” that appears to describe our Dem leaders inability to focus and effectively strategize, plan and take action.
There is a handful of Dems in office who saw this coming but have been silenced or overruled by an aging hierarchy that is guilty of the very thing they accused Joe Biden of--a failure to see the writing on the wall and adjust as necessary.
We live in a world--and have for a long time--where linear thinking that leads to a single predictable outcome is obsolete. Our leaders must be able to think, work and lead in a dynamic and flexible way that allows for many things being true, or false, at the same time. All our industries, technologies and social interactions have long ago adopted and integrated this way of operating. Except our government and it's leaders. It is why they are so baffled by the multi-pronged, dynamic attack we are experiencing now, and for some time, at the hands of technology oligarchs who basically invented and live by this approach.
The young leaders in our govt and elsewhere understand this and know how to operate in this environment. It's time to let them lead.
